I guess I could say the making of BOLD-DD, is like unto the Black Oak Tree… My deep love for family and the spark of my wild imagination, it began when I was home-stricken as an acute asthmatic child. While the world around me vibrated with life, I spent countless hours indoors creating imaginary worlds for my dolls using whatever materials I surrounded—cardboard boxes, canyons, and whatever I saw, became a part of something new. (the Black Oak Tree-Plant, I too anchored and developing beneath the surface)
From my bedroom on the second floor, I watched the world below—my family and neighbors playing, running, climbing, and living life without restrictions. I watched from my window, next to a large tree, that always seemed to be rattling its leaves in prayer and conversing with me. I would call out to the tree, “When I get outside, I’m going to play with you too!” Ironically, to this day, I am still playing with and embracing the magic of trees, through paper crafts. (..like the Black Oak Tree Shoot breaking through the surface)
As for my creative eyes and love for Art, it came naturally and has always been my favorite subject in school. By the 9th grade, I had completed every art class offered in public school; including woodshop, painting, ceramics, and sewing! I was always the go-to person for decorating, whether it was for indoor or outdoor spaces. It was during my teen years that I developed a love for creating themes that transformed ordinary spaces into fantasy worlds. (…like the Black Oak Tree-Sapling, with flexibility I grew tough and strong)
On into adulthood I became known as the “creative hands” for my family’s special occasions, turning every event into a moment of awe and excitement! Like a trail of Magic Stardust, that magnificent creativity energy transformed the work halls, and breakrooms of every festive gathering, and workplace celebration, including holidays, then into the lives of my colleagues and their homes and celebrations! And now, with great excitement and dedication, I set out into the World to share this fantastic gift of transforming not only spaces into one’s deepest imagination and desires, but also, giving its accompanying companion that enlightens hearts with happiness love, and unity! (…like the matured Black Oak Tree, I will continue praising God and sharing my magic)
